Been building this for about a year now. Having bought this as a frame I tried to give a modern take on what it once was.
I managed to speak to the second owner of the frame. It was bought by him second hand from a bike shop in Reading circa 1980. Raced by him on the Reading velodrome from 1980 until 1990. The paint has been confirmed as original.
Having found some images of how the bike was back then I've tried to keep the parts as close as possible to those that were on it originally. Some are modern versions of the originals. Part of me wanted to keep it off the road. But I also wanted to ride it all the time so here we are:
