For 10-years this was my commuter machine. My trusted frankenbike and ratbike based on a 2004 Ridgeback Comet. The fork and bottom bracket were still original.
From 2007 onwards I used a Brompton handlebar to change my riding position to an (almost) sit-up-and-beg position.
..sadly my frame snapped a few weeks ago. RIP -

A friend drilled the crown a bit upper than normal, plus the fork's clearance is not too tight.
I still had to try four different calipers until I found a shimano that wouldn't rub against the tyre.. -
