  • Lovely looking frame... Drilled front and rear? And why on earth are you writing in Sublime Text app?

  • Drilled front and rear yeah.
Quite new to the forum haven't posted much yet and it came up like that! Haha newbie

  • Pretty sure I saw this on the bay; maybe a copy and paste job from an ebay listing app? Although I know nothing about eBay selling #ONLYBUYZ

  • Very nice. GLWS!

  • No this was posted in a WANTED ad and the op, probably, did the copy&paste from his own message from that thread here.

As said in that thread, this looks like a great frame for a nice price.

  • Drilled front and rear?

From the first picture I can seem to see the rear bridge being drilled. Which makes sense gives the mudguards eyelets on the trackends?

  • Not too sure. Must be for mudguards i guess :)

  • My apologies if a silly question. New builder.

What's the width of the BB?

Also, willing to post within England?

  • Arrived safe and fast. Thanks!

  • So, just built the bike up.
Thread is stripped on the left hand side of the bottom bracket opening.

Did you have the bike built up before?

  • If it is stripped you've got few solutions:

    1) return the bike for a refund :)
    2) keep it, but discounted :)
    3) if you keep it then I'd suggest a YST bottom bracket. They are cheap and of pretty good quality. The one on my Holdsworth is doing very well, but have a LBS tighten it for you, as I did it, but then it unscrewed!
    4) re-do the threads

then there are much harder solutions, but also expensive.

  • Unless you were lucky and only the very first threads were ruined.

  • I'm ringing my local bike shop tomorrow about re-threading. I absolutely love the frame, just want to know if the OP had similar problems.

I'll put the YST in my basket for now, just in case!

    Thanks for your advice!

  • Unless you were lucky and only the very first threads were ruined.

No, the entire threads from the left side are stripped

  • I see. Shame.

  • edit seems like resolution has been worked out

  • No phone number?
He seems new to the forum so he may not connect often to check for messages.

  • In communication with OP

  • Solution found.

    OP is a good guy.

  • :)
    good luck
