I have an iphone 3gs that is sufferring from screen fade, the image on the screen fades to various shades of pale, almost white sometimes, seemingly at random and the problem has got worse over a number of weeks. Will replacing the screen sort the problem out? I can get a replacement screen on ebay for less than £20 but don't want to get one unless I know it will cure the issue. I realise a lot of people will think a 3gs is old technology but it was my 40th birthday present and I have no intention of binning it.
Any knowledgable advice much appreciated,
