I use the Trufitt and Hill shave oil and do like it. It's a good beard softener but I am less convinced about the lubricating properties. For me, my nicks and razor burn are a result of rushing things, not letting the razor do the work, not paying enough attention to the lather and then not giving the lather time to sit and soften the beard more. The hot wash cloth on the face before and after washing makes a bigger difference for me. YMMV.
