I do wonder why we didn't buy him. Even if it means upsetting Wilshere, or having to juggle Ozil and Fab, it would have been better than giving Chelsea a world class midfielder with years of premier league experience.

So the Top 4 are in place after the first round of games. How many other teams do you think will hold a top 4 position this season (at the end of a weekend). I'm going to say 4

The chanting at Anfield is not restricted to YNWA or a constant drone of "Liverpool Liverpool". They also sing about the Munich air disaster which occurred long before most of them were born - but then they do appreciate history.
Disingenuous at best... #amIdoingitright?
That's just pure horseshit cliveo #nerged
we sing about specific clubs when they are in town or their town happens to be full of excrement.

Are you sure he wasn't turning into the home carpark behind the main stand?

• #109512
He had a successful spell coaching us that stretched across the whole of McClaren and O'Driscoll era's, so about six months.

Great bit of business for Sporting

And also United. Nani is out in shop window, playing well. No one would buy him anyway. They'd be paying his wages. He's a player that does better when he's playing more etc etc.

:D
Clive when I came to Stamford Bridge I heard little in the way of 'songs' outside of that imaginative "chelsea, chelsea, chelsea"
. If I'm right, upon signing el nino, didn't your fans make up a banner that featured the Shankley Gates on your banner?!
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the torres song that same as that sang by liverpool with lyrics swapped?!
Is the Gerrard song that you sing essentially that same that lfc did but with the lyric swapped?!When will you do something of your own creation from scratch?
(I've only heard Munich songs outside of the game in boozers never at the match. Deplorable stuff all round.)

"It is believed that Roberts is a boyhood Liverpool supporter, with his parents having been born in Sussex"
FtfyAlthough Chelsea could offer him the chance to stay in his current city and Manchester United are renowned for their nurturing of young British talent, Roberts is understood to be a Liverpool fan, while his parents also hail from Merseyside.

wilshere needs to work on staying on his feet. i don't know if he is going down due to physical fragility or because of something mental that his creeped into his psyche.
i still think he has potential but there is something of the YJC about him. particularly when you see how ramsey has come on in leaps and bounds.

FG, dear chap. I really don't see what you point is. When players move, supporters often sing the song that they have sung before with words changed. When oppostion players come in for barracking, it is often with their song with the words changed.
When Gus Poyet returned to Stammford Bridge with Tottenham he thought the home fans were chanting, as they had done for years before "Poyet, there's only one Poyet" and smiled and waved and then realised that they were in fact chanting to the same tune "Poyet, we f***ing hate Poyet" The look on his face when he realised was wonderful.
Chants are often derivative. It helps them spread.
Chelsea have many original ones. Liverpool derive many of theirs from other clubs including Chelsea.
What are you getting at or are you simply trolling.
And if you believe that Liverpool supporters are whiter than white and cleaner than clean, you are deluded. They still sing about the Munich air crash, Matthew Harding and plenty of other things. They object vociferously if others give it back to them. I have often wondered why a decent man like you would want to associate with scum like them.

Chelsea and nurturing young British talent do not belong in the same sentence
Touché.
