I am not sure I'd like to go riding with you these days.

Lake District.

Going here on holiday in a few weeks. Anyone got any nice routes? I know the whole place will be awesome but specific areas to ride.

Did exactly that with kati, let me dig out the route (average 25 miles a day).

Can't find the one I did with kati, but this one I did in 3 days, which is way too long, but for your girlfriend if she doesn't mind going through Hardknott;

Draw up another route from memories, we took the evening train to Windermere (from Euston) and stay the night there.

Day 1: Rode to Grasmere to try out the Gingerbread which was a nice little treat, head down to Coniston where we drop off our luggage in a nearby hotel (after going into the bluebird museum), then head up to the Drunken Duck (awesome food, little out of place wearing raggy t-shirt and short), rode back to the hotel for a good night sleep.

Day 2: head south alongside Coniston, head into Brantwood to do some touristy stuff, went past Grizedale as we didn't have enough time to explore the forest, straight up to Hawkshead for a bite to eat, then down to Near Sawyer to visit the Hill Top farm, end up not having enough time, we took the ferry over instead of riding north to go around Windermere.

Anyone have any recommendations for a iphone app that I can upload some of these routes to, and use my iphone as a satnav? Ideally in my pocket with just a headphones telling me where to go?

im doing london to brighton tomorrow and have basically used strava's "popular" route generator. I have no idea about any of the roads except that th elondon bits follows the cs7.

Does it look ok, any roads to avoid? (busy roads) Dont mind adding 5 or so miles to route, but not too much as my friend hasnt been cycling much recently.

Does anyone (@hippy?) have any routes that cycle oxford? Making a route for the weekend that I want to go from Kingston Blount to Streatly via Oxford, and my route currently goes along the a40 onto the a34 which look like a nice flat bit in an otherwise hilly 200k but I'm worried that they might be dangerous and or full of traffic lights a any advice?

Anyone got a 80km route north/north east of Hackney Wick - Could do the North London Loop but looking for something a bit different?

Maybe use the Steam Ride route?

Go this way.
Stop in Finchingfield for a coffee.
And do a lap of along the backs. Then go into the town for a beer or cocktail at The Cow.

No do. It's not far and cambridge is beautiful. The backs are the best part.

Missus is taking train and meeting me there so if I star early enough I can get that lap in.

Hackney. I know there are routes on here but I cant find one to easily use for map my ride

Never ridden that way. Just make your own, look for smaller roads.

If this is too long, go south, south ockden, bulpham, langdon hill, then onto london road all the way. Not as nice i'd think, but shorter.
