Very strong until 3/4k, then the infamous plateau until 5k when you get a bit of top end. I have bought a chip from a guy called John1100gs. He's on various BMW forums.
The chip has great reviews. It should smooth out surging, which I have not seen from my bike, and boost power by richening the mixture, but it does not increase MPG as it only richens the mixture on acceleration. Or something like that. There's all sorts of graphs and tables you can look at if you're of that persuasion. I just love the idea of this nutter in his shed with his bike hooked up to his PC on a rolling road. He sends two chips, one for standard exhaust and one for non cat, more open exhausts. I'll report back in a few weeks if you're interested.

Hows the engine performing at low revs? My r1150rs is a bit rough around 2500-3000. Apparently the lean fuelling on the 1100/1150's can cause a few problems round town. I've put a Booster Plug on mine but it's not completely sorted.
