The new place won't be the same, and Camden really can do without yet another "authentic coffee " experience. I've been going to Marine Ices since I moved to Camden Town in 2000, and the charm was the proper italian family atmosphere. The tacky signed celeb pictures were funny, but even I was made to feel like a cherished regular when I bowled up for pizza and the best whitebait in london.
The ice-cream has noticeably gone downhill since they stopped making it on site. I know I'll still be there on sunny days, but I'll be very sad when the old place is knocked down and replaced with the inevitable flats.
Not sure whether to post here, or in Epic Fail.
