Did they do the bunting especially for you?
Nice touch.

If anyone fancies riding to Dedham to go swimming on 3 August.

Brixton Kate. Love the pics. Can I steal/borrow/copy the one of me please?
Am thinking about the Dedham ride but won't know til the day before as on a ride with my 'other' group up North.

Just so you know, I've changed my username. I've wanted to do that forever.
So Charlotte83 becomes HigginsWillDoIt which links more to my (extensive) Social Media. Joy. -
• #135
Just a reminder, but I think today is the last day you can register for a roundel.

I did the FNRttC to Whitstable on Friday. Very happy to report not a hint of water from the skies all night. It was a cool night and a lovely route, slightly different to our ride. The sunrise was a joy to see and I sent a mental 'wish you were here' to you all.
My legs are still stiff this morning but am going for a 6 mile run shortly, so hope that will loosen them a tad.

So, just opening conversation here, what do you expect when you get your "roundel"?
-
• #139
I expect a cloth sew-on badge which I will stick into a drawer along with my Hell of the North badge.
-
• #140
If I was getting one I'd expect to feel a wave of glee surging over me like I'd just been peed on by a unicorn.
Tho tbf when I got my Festive 500 roundel I mostly just felt a grim sense of "thank god that's over", so maybe you should expect that instead.

Expectation level....lower...lower....loooooooowwwwer.....
(having just received mine in the post just now, I have been ripped off.)
-

Given that I got completely soaked and then had to do laps of Hyde Park to make up the distance, I have a feeling I'm going to be pretty pissed off when I get home.
(Not about the ride with everyone on the forum, that was definitely fun [type B], but about what Rapha said they would do, but then aren't doing)
Hopefully they just missed out on actually putting the badge in your envelope?
-
• #143
I was thinking, next year, shall we maybe make our own roundels or something similar?
-
• #144
Good idea. I'm no good at embroidery, but I can cross stitch.
-
• #145
i could draw a circle on a piece of fancy papier and send it to you like rapha did with mine.
:( -
• #146
Did you make those?! Amazing!
-
• #147
If you sent me a piece of paper I would totes treasure it 4eva.
-
• #148
I did not, but they look pretty easy to do. Just need to cross stitch the pattern and glue it onto a badge.
