Quiet on the server... get on it man!
I havent had many run ins with players recently... which is prob for the best as I always end up dead.

No I tried talking using / chat and then didn't get any other messages pop up other than hungry and thirsty...
Will have to buy a head set!

I think there were about 7 LFGSSers on over the course of the night but just too sparse. There were another 20 players on the server when we first joined but it restarted so we moved to another one but that restarted too and so on so it just got quieter and quieter.

odd/ it should just appear in the bottom left where the other messages appear?

We're well equipped now, maybe we can try a busier server and a hotspot?
That would surely get some of us killed, but it would be pretty intense.

It was good to meet up with you guys last night, albeit briefly! I jumped back in a bit later and picked up some good loot from the barracks and camo building that we were near. Ak101 baby!

Possibly- might have to do quality time with my partner though as I have been neglecting her recently in favour of drinking and playing computer games (in combination and separately).

Played Day Z fewer than 4 times so far but can see it being a real time sink- I hope I can be a 'real' grown up and not let it take over my life.

I looted a military base yesterday, quite uneventful but I found some ammo. If anyone has an AKM I'll gladly take it now. Though it'll be a shame throwing away the lovely Blaze...

In other news:
I was reading last night about helicopter crash sites which are now the only places in game that spawn the M4. There are several basic locations, 3 US helis crash randomly in them each server restart. There are also fixed Russian heli crash sites which spawn Russian gear.

Weren't they deactivated in Version 0.46?
As I have seen yesterday we're now on 0.48, so maybe they changed it back?

I thought they had made loads of new locations for crash sites... but then took them out altogether... someone decide on this weeks meet up location! I should be on early next week...

Possibly. The link I read said they were implemented around 0.43 from memory but didn't say anything about deactivation. Installed 0.48 last night but haven't tested it out yet. Looking forward to the smersh backpack and vest combo (basically strap a second backpack to your chest).

ooo so its pot luck if the us chopper will be in each site, that's pretty cool. Do you see it crash at a random time in the server life or is it just there from the start?

Apparently they're still active, just came across a forum post from last week saying someone had found one. I also heard M4 shots this evening and I refuse to believe that person has been alive with an M4 since before 0.45 :)

Ugh, logged on to that server I left off at the other night and was greeted by a red error message ostensibly saying it couldn't sync and to log off quickly before my character was overwritten. Of course this message was about 700 words long and by the time I'd read it it had loaded and lost my kit including the new smersh vest and backpack as well as a hunter pack. Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Pizza and SummerSlam first.
