Mine does 1 of 2 things:
Sits on the chair next to my bed waits patiently for me to wake up, this usually happens after endless attempts to tap my hands, sniff my face, rub her head against me, attack my feet, sit next to me, all because she wants some cuddles, she doesn't like going under the duvet and I don't like sitting up whenever the cat wants a lap to sit on. I win every time so far..
Goes under the bed at a certain time of the day for a nap, I would follow... and when I wake up, so would come out at the same time and we would have a big stretch at the same time. I think it's me copying my cat, not the other way around.

@Miss_Mouse No! Of course not! I brushed his teeth first ;)

In the days when I used to regularly take an afternoon nap, Sam would come and sit in front of me around 2.15 pm as if to say 'go and lie down, I want to snuggle next to you', and as soon as I went to bed, he would be next to me. He also used to do this before I had severe migraine attacks, as if he could sense that I wasn't well and needed to lie down. Most afternoons now he can be found asleep on my bed, with or without me. But by the way he purrs and dribbles (he is such a dribbler - every time you stroke him he dribbles) he definitely prefers me there. Or I'm soppy enough to think that.
We do this. For hours. I think he only stirs when I do, rather than some weird psychic thing.
He's ever hopeful that I'll forget I already fed him...
