The individual sellers dont get access to your card details - the money all goes through aliexpress/alibaba http://resources.alibaba.com/trade_safe/alibaba_security_issue_1.html
I certainly haven't had any problems and don't know of anyone who has but that's not to say it couldn't happen (just as it could with PayPal in theory)

OK, so I might as well just stick it on debit card. Won't get my card cloned and money stolen?
