If you're in Australia, then perhaps. If you're in the Northern hemisphere, not so much.

To the huge dumper lorry that swung a left from the straight on lane on shaftsbury ave by holborn station, without indicating, cutting up another HGV in the left turn lane and inches away from smushing 3 cyclists who fortunately saw it pulling left and all emergency braked
I hope someone got some helmet cam footage of that

This mornings commute was delightfully uneventful.
Though yesterday evenings commute home was shit. It started raining as soon as I left the building, and until I got home I was properly wet.And then there was this weird full lycra MTB guy, wildly changing lanes to overtake other cyclists. Actually good riding, he was way fast, overtook everyone properly and didn't slow down a single car due to correct shoulder checking before hopping onto the street.
Only weird thing: Shoes for clipless pedals and... platform pedals. Why change shoes if you can't even clip in? -

Report him ASAP.

Where was this?
Sure they were platform pedals? I use Shimano M434 pedals so they look like platform pedals from a distance but are perfectly usable with both SPDs or normal shoes.

Southern Germany. ;)
No I checked the pedals out when I caught up at a red light. Definitely cheap platform pedals, no clipping hardware. He rode them weirdly mid-foot also. Strange fella. -

I did ride 55k on the way into work this morning Nd stopped for a swim, so needed the extra speed to get to work on time!
I see. I had no idea being upside down had such an impressive effect on one's speed. Is that how hippy manages it?

But it would explain much in the dropout drops in thread.

Make sure you report it here too: https://secure.met.police.uk/roadsafelondon/
Done this before, and although the Police aren't going to arrest or whatever, they say they'll send them a letter to them which should shit them up a bit. Also it goes on their permanent record, so if they have an incident in the future it'll get noticed.

Got overtaken by guy on a hybrid at speed on the way home. Something didn't feel right, then I clocked the electric motor on the back. So I jumped on his wheel and drafted him for 5 miles home.
Had the biggest grin on my face!

Same thing happened to me up the hill on Ladbroke Grove a couple of weeks ago. Except the drafting part :)
Tubby fucker zoomed off into the distance.

As soon as I clocked the motor this interview with cav went through my mind:
When echelons form it's similar to falling through ice: you know you've got, like five seconds to rectify and get in the right position to save yourself or it's finished it's over.

I don't see the point in riding a bike with a motor just get a wider cassette range

Red is fastest.
-
• #2019
nah, he's just too fast for anything to pass by.
ftfy still works

I didn't know you were Australian.

Never draft! Only pass! They are my new prime target.
