Pinned topics (current projects for example) that show up in Following don't show the user who created them or the last user to post (they are also now showing up shaded yellow)
In fact - they don't show this info in the forum view either (or Today)

We figured, perhaps wrongly, that pinned topics were less about "this person created it" and "that person updated it" and more "this is valuable community knowledge, some part of it has been updated".
We also strike a balance between the yellow highlighting, and the space it takes. They get a highlight, but we reduce the space.
Those two things combined mean that yes, we communicate it's pinned (yellow highlighter), but no we aren't showing much info for it.

Work computer - It's pretty locked down. That also means IE8.

If it's that locked down, aren't you risking your job browsing the bike porn?
You may want to consider a tablet.

Hmmm. I wouldn't have thought my workplace would ban any websites, but the firewall setup thingy you mentioned might make sense. Sometimes I have to look at some NSFW stuff FW purposes.
Well, I guess I'll stick to using Firefox to view the forum during the day then.

it would be useful if viewing Conversations or Today the threads also showed which forum they were in, I know mostly thread titles are self-explanatory but it's not always obvious. also nice to know if one is about to enter Polo World, Norwich or Manchester etc.

It's on the buglist and will be added whenever you are shown a conversation outside of a forum.

Just tested on a 2011 iPod touch that is running iOS 6.1.6 and Safari.
Signed in to Persona just fine.
Under
Settings > Safari
you don't have Private Browsing checked do you? Persona needs to be able to set cookies, store session data, etc. Third party cookies are essential. But yes, it works.

It's like C, except you ignore parentheses around conditionals and just forget all that pointer stuff.
Or it's like JavaScript, except the language has types and forget those parentheses.
It's lovely.
