Wanted: Salmon Profil Alu mudguards

Thin, aluminium mudguards, made in France apparently. Really just need a rear but will buy set if necessary.

I had a set of those back in the 80's dark grey/brown finish, a sod to fit!

I have some but they are outside London so it would be a couple of weeks before i could get them... if time is less of an issue, let me know as i need to shift them

Are you sure? Mine are plain aluminium and fitted really easily.

Time isn't that much of an issue. The muppet that ran into me is buying them.

Hi, I've got some you can have, plain aluminium. I think the front one have been shortened/messed with, but rear is complete as far as I can remember. They are not in fantastic condition but OK and I should have kept the fixing bits. I can take picture tonight if you're interested, let me know...

I actually don't know where you can get them in the UK now. I got mine from (the now-defunct) Velorution.

if you do buy a set here's a tip
use these

to hold the stays to the mudguard instead of the eye bolt. The eye bolt is very weak and tightening it puts force on the eye, and it will break one day.
In addition to using the "jeux barrilets" if you can get some of those little washers on the outside of the jockey wheel bearings from old rear mechs use them as a washer over the "jeux barrilets" as it makes them a lot stronger
