That is really nice. A neighbour back in Sydney has a very early 3 door one of those, still in its. So basic, but very cool. Basically this:

Cant decide if beautiful or "cute" - which is the wrong description for a Ferrari

beautiful car, but whitewall wheels are gash. not even if you were a wealthy yank in the 50s.

Got this sitting around gathering dust, figured I'd post in here to see if there may be any interest in taking it off my hands.

Tempted by his KKD / Holset HX35 OM606. That'd mature nicely in the cellar.

My old Golf before I bought something practical/boring

What wheels be they?
-
• #20661
You must have hated speed bumps.
-
• #20662
If you raised the suspension that golf could have been practical [maybe not boring] and you could have kept it :-)

1 Million Dollars...ah ah ah
Shaguar realising the Aching Vintage Want.
*Myself Incuded
(FYI drawings do not correspond to canopy)
-
• #20665
Correct, they don't. Can only presume they decided to build as a roadster with a removable canopy.
It's classics like this that erode any desire for most modern cars. The f-type is a gross impersonation of this
-
• #20666
The drawings show classic hard top E-Type. The 'Lightweight' is not new but was never produced as a road car. Until now. Cue sell out.
-
• #20667
aren't they making them as racers?
-
• #20668
@Ordinata Wheels were Fondmetal 2600B's powdercoated chrome - Usually Porsche fitment but some 4x100 ones turned up locally strangely enough..
@Velocio Was running Airlift air suspension so speed bumps weren't too much of an issue!
@BlueQuinn I wish I had now! Wasn't so bad driving it lowered but I quite like jumping in my car now and not even having to think about the bumps in the road! :)

Interestingly the UK never got turbodiesel W124s because the turbo wouldn't fit with the RHD steering. Seems those guys managed.
Shame about the rest of the car really. Plastic seats and wheel, no aircon, white paint and a tractor engine. They could have had up to 950bhp out of an M104 with that kind of work. -
• #20670
Yes a run of 6 with FIA certification. I thought they would be road registered.

Which Mustang is the one to have, and why?

Shelby, Shirley?
Because Bullitt.

Hmm, £60,000: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C498965

• #20674
Not keen on that interior... Wtf is that cubby/cup holder thing for starters?
-
• #20675
If the cubbyhole made it £50,000 cheaper then I'd have it.
WTF
