• i used to trade and sell bike locks in brick lane on the southside of sclater street and cygnet street in brick lane market. on the otherside of the road were all the stolen bikes being sold however that was one of my pitches pitch 73 and i need to prove that they were selling bikes on that pitch.
myself and the london borough of tower hamlets have been at it in court for the last 5 years and previous 5 years in dispute. i lost in january and facing bunkcruptsy but if i produce any photograph with stolen bike and the pitch no 73 showing on the floor than i can overturn this(£50,000 costs).
my reason for not paying was the council inspectors did nothing from 2002 and 2006 and this pitch was unusable due to the illegal bike thieves.
they say "you pay even if you dont use"

i need any photographs from 2002 to 2006 pictures of stolen bikes in brick lane market. send to jimpjeffery@aol.com

  • That was really quite hard to read.

Best of luck in your quest for evidence of stolen bikes being sold on pitch 73 between 2002 and 2006.

  • Ok, I have trawled the archives in the Gallery of Brick Lane's infamous Pitch 73 and, while I can clearly see bikes being sold on the pitch in question, there is nothing to suggest these are, in fact, stolen. Of further issue is the non-existence of this Gallery, which really brings into question what exactly I've been doing for the past 3 minutes.

It's a tricky one, I'll give you that.

  • I can help with this. I have photos of every bike sold at Brick Lane Market at the location you specified however you don't seem to be in a position to cover the costs of the flux capacitor.

If this changes you don't need to do anything as you will have already emailed me. Thanks

  • What is going on?

  • I was getting drunk in the Royal Oak, Columbia Road about seven years ago and some filthy colonials wandered up with two bikes they'd bought on Brick Lane, obviously nicked. I had a bit of a go at them cos without muppets like them the stolen bike trade wouldn't exist. There was a scuffle and my mate's glass of Chardonnay got knocked over. Matters calmed down and the antipodeans made to leave. "Sorry about the wine" one said. "That's alright" I said. "You can't help having an accent".

    TRUE STORY

  • That was me and Jonno. Very sorry.
