Sounds extremely suspicious.
Would not trade with someone over a medium like WhatsApp, wouldn't recommend anyone else does.
Do NOT use cash, do NOT use bank transfer or PayPal gift. Use PayPal and use a Credit Card with PayPal so that you can do a chargeback, and take a photo of the seller during any trade, and obtain a receipt (scribbled on paper is fine) that has some verifiable identity of the seller.
This advert looks and smells like a stolen bike. Exercise extreme caution. A £3k bike for £500 is a steal in all senses, I shall notify Met Police Cycling Task Force this morning.
A quick Google reveals other unbelievable deals with that phone number: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=07508872449
@RockyShilly do not do it.

Sounds dodgy as hell.
@seller.....have a receipt at all? -
• #11
Dirty fucker

• #12
To @kungfusu3 and the rest who are interested in this bargain.
@Velocio was spot on.
I get to station were we supposed to meet. Asked to get to sellers place (just around the corner), refused, then seller asked to meet him in the park (which is quite public) near station. Agreed, lurked around the park for good 15 minutes. Not a sight of a similar bike.
Just to let everyone know: apparently now I'm coward, time waster and a prick. -

That phone book has the name of the person linked to the mobile number Steve2012 is using. Look under 'H'.
-
• #14
Janie Adey is a nice name.

• #15
Thanks! Been following this thread.. And definitely been warned off. :)

Must be pretty thick to 1, be stealing bikes, 2 try and sell them on a forum of bike enthusiasts....
-
• #17
Admitting you want to some effort to buy said (clearly) stolen bike is pretty surprising too.
-
• #18
You seem pretty ok with going to buy an obviously stolen bike though.
Get. To. Fuck.
-
• #19
Maybe he didn't read this thread till after trying to meet with him? Just saying. :)

• #20
Dibs for a mate. Send me your card details including the 3 digits on the back of the signature strip and I will transfer the money.
-
• #21
Haha.. Sounds legit! PMing you my home address, other card details :)
-
• #22
You seem pretty ok to judge people with knowing shit how much effort i put to make sure im not falling for stolen.
Get. To. Fuck.
-
• #23
Really?
Yet that effort didn't go so far as to think that maybe a 3 grand bike for 500 might be just a little moody.
Maybe the the promise of a such a bargain precluded you googling his number, where the same number is linked with multiple underpriced sales of moody bikes.
Putting in effort to make sure you're not "falling for stolen"? That's not quite what's happened here, is it.
Your protests are disingenuous and feeble.

• #24
You came here to judge me? Does it change anything if I will say that I have same bike stolen from me a month ago?
-
• #25
If you thought it was your bike, and you were going to punch the guy out and take it back, then yes, good plan and good work.
If you thought "oh I had mine stolen so I will have to buy a cheap stolen one back" then yes, you are a fucking moron.Which was it?
Hi there I am selling my bike full carbon in perfect condition. I am new to this website. Ask me for number to talk on Whatsapp
