I think that's summed up my issue tbh, he should have the understanding that he is privileged and left in a thankful manner rather than sounding like he was hard done by. I'm sure a lot of this is spin and mis-quoting to sell papers but still twists the knife when people complain about not being given enough
So with being an MP is not quite as cushy as it used to be and the fact he doesn't seem to have fulfilled his ambitions he has decided to move on to new pastures and greater pay (I assume he is about to get a v. well paid job in private health care). So far so normal. What's shocking about all this is that he is so politically niave that he thinks verbalising it is a good idea. Shouldn't he just be sayying something like
then thank everyone and fuck off. How has he got this far being so politically inept?
