  • Hello,

Saw this listed a couple weeks back (first thread) and I instantly lusted over it.

Sold off some bits I didn't need and bought it off telescope1608 and now I'm in the process of procuring some bits whilst awaiting the package.

Frame & Fork: De Rosa Team Track 56x56 w/ uncut Alpina Track fork / Campagnolo internal headset / Painted Deda OS ahead

    Powertrain: Dura Ace BB-7700 / FC-7710 chainset / 49t FC-7710 ring / Dura Ace 16t / Izumi / Alium
    Wheels & Tyres: HSON TB14 Dark Ano x 32h Dura Ace 7710 / Conti Gatorskins 23c Wirebead F&R
Finishing kit: FSA Omega Compact 44 / Polished 27mm Dura Ace Easton 7410 seat post / Stripped and painted SLR Fibra / Silva De Rosa seat clamp

Yeah, to be continued I guess?

  • B0nor, post that pic up again please. I wanted to know which bars were on it.

  • Dura Ace Easton post is on its way with love from Japan and Gabe at NJS-Export.

172.5mm FC-7710 cranks are en route as well.

Counted the holes on the hubs prior to ordering the TB14s. 32h they were, not 36h. Dodged a bullet on that one.

  • Having seen that, you have to get the fork colour matched.

  • Funny I always thought the same thing and now seeing it makes me a believer.

  • jhheeezus. Looking forward to seeing this built up :)

  • Don't know if I'm liking the all-black deep carbon vibes on that build

  • Yeah, not a big issue. Got a guy that's insanely good with a paint gun.

Might even do a DSC type thing on the inside of the forklegs.

    What bars are those?

  • Sorry not sure on the bars, but more info here: http://fixie-king.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=14509

  • Deep carbon looks sweet.

  • Deep carbon looks shit.

    ftfy

  • Blasphemy

That da rosa looks rad 2 tha max

  • The wheels on this are going to be 32h. Is 2cross on the NDS and 3cross on the DS recommended for tarck duty or could i just build them 2 cross all the way?

  • ...and why are there two different versions of the FC-7710 chainring.

    Any difference besides the cutouts?

  • Great frame! Was lusting over this as well. Lace them up 3 cross if you want to have strong wheels, 2 cross is just stupid imo.

  • Another vote for 3 cross lacing, much stronger build. I can't think of a good reason to have 2 cross, especially on a 32 hole rim.
I actually really like that build above with carbon rims, a bit unusual for me, but would ride it as it is.
As for the chain, silver if you go with the parts list as in the first post.

  • Cheers Pepe.

Small changes with the switch from EAI to DA cog, FSA Omega bars instead of Soma HWY1 and lesser teeth chainring.

  • Soma bars didn't make sense on this build either, unless you were planning on getting an 31.8 and silver version. FSA do the job just as well for less money.

  • Exactly why I went with FSA, and the fact Wiggle stocks them.

  • the double deep rims make perfect sense on track, pretty much none elsewhere. also 3x lacing is a must, don't even think about 2x.

@Thrust i don't know what you mean with different version of 7710 rings, when the amount of teeth exceeds 48 a small cutout appears..

  • Does this one have the strange rubbery paint my de Rosa had?

  • I noticed that after I posted the question. 49t bought from NJS-Export.

  • Better to have rubbery paint than flaking 'I can't even look at it without chipping' paint innit?

I have yet to take delivery but T1608 should know.

  • Paint isn't rubbery. It's very pearly and flamboyant.

It's just been collected by the courier - In transit!
