Hey guys,
I'm just trying to sort out a bike, any bike, at the moment, so if I came down are there bikes I can borrow? I've played before a bit in Sydney, so I'm not a total noob. Just moved to London.
Cheers.

There's a loaner somewhere, I think it's currently with Hugo. Maybe send him a PM and check with him?

Hi guys
I am a newbie in Bike Polo, but really really want to give it a go.
Do you train only on Tuesdays?
And I am having the same problem- I don't have a suitable bike for that, will there be anything available? Thanks

I recently put a loaner back into the community - if it's not regularly being brought to beginners sessions then maybe it's time for someone else to take care of it, or to find a more convenient home where it can get more use? It's my old GT Chucher, I think Karen has it at the moment. Is it getting any action?

Any beginners want to start coming along on Mondays and/or Wednesdays? You're always welcome, and we've been a bit short of people recently, so even more always welcome at the moment.

hey yeah Karen has it - she has had some serious tonsilitis, but is planning to continue polo-ing once she is better....Btw, there is that loaner at the cafe - it is rideable but needs a new headset - happy to put one on if someone wants to ride it. And there is the one that i built using Chukker_Norris's frame, and parts from Paul and Kev and me (The one that Jo used to ride) - not sure where abouts it is now but it was put together for the london polo community.

Right then. After 12 months I've finally been given the go ahead to get back on me bike! What's the score then? Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday South and Saturday London Fields or have things moved on? Beagle, we negotiated a mallet with that frame you sold me, is that still cool? Looking forward to getting back on the court but defo gonna be beginners for now!

Oh yeah, I also have a loaner still which just needs cranks, chain and cassette compatible SS kit if it is of any use.

Hey you! Welcome back! I feel like the las time I saw you was when you got totally wasted at the polo BBQ :) haha! The score is Tuesdays beginners, Mondays, Wednesdays newington or herne hill, weekends Herne Hill - check the south conversation...I think the Norths remain the same. Weekend of 16th is the London Open at Highbury&islington.

Yeah drunken BBQ sounds about right, I still have the scars from the ride home! I'll look into Monday but will be a definite show on Tuesday if numbers are there. Be good to see you.

I think it's just the bad weather and it's the week before the London Open. Fingers crossed service will resume in a week or two.
Please do make an appearance at the London Open this weekend if you're free! Plenty of good games guaranteed!

For sure, have no fear beginners. A few people have been on holiday/moving house/working too hard the last few weeks. Play will resume soon (probably when it starts raining).
Tuesday night is a really good beginners session if you fancy heading south. Doubt it will be on today, however next week there's a good chance of some games. -

come to this on the weekend...
http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/247415/you can even find two more people and enter to play (registration deadline tonight).
Maximum fun! (and if you haven't played much or you feel it's too soon for a competition, i'd say forget that! worst thing that can happen is you lose games but you'll be part of the biggest fun of the polo year. (talking from experience... we came second from last, last year, but first class fun) ;-) do it!

I'd be keen to have a bash, only live round the corner from Newington so could be ideal!

Yo yo, Newt tomorrow (19th) anyone? (Say yes.)
I will probably be there shortly before 6 if anyone wants to do some early drills or whatever.
