  • completely agree, I rode on 23mm gator skins, they were perfect and averaged a similar 19.5mph

  • That was epic fun (apart from snapping a spoke on the last corner, kinda lucky!), need to do some proper racing again.

    3:31 @ 24mph

  • I had a heart defect but they did fixed it.

(I seriously cannot imagine putting in the kind of times you lot are doing... )

  • So is anyone clever enough to rank the finish list? I wouldn't even know where to start with 647 pages if information...

How much faster do you think you'd have gone on proper tyres?

  • Someone did here
    (found a link on BR)

  • This year the start was at the start.
Last years 'flying lap' started 2 miles down the A12. This year your chip registered when left the pen.

  • Last year someone transferred it to Excel. I'll keep my eyes open & post it.

  • Hah, I've dropped 1,100 places in a year. I could have been a contender...

  • Awesome thanks applespider and andrewdroadie

  • Oooh, geeky distribution chart

  • On the tyre debate, swapped out 25mm GP4Ks for 23mm Four Seasons which I keep for Sportives (when it always rains) as I also have clearance on my Canyon for crudcatchers with 23mms. The last action they saw was at the Tour of Pembrokeshire in April which wasn't as wet but was extremely windy. They behaved brilliantly on both rides.

  • Thanks for the links. Improved from 155th to 54th.

  • just found this in my phone.. team sky look-alike? the not-quite matching blue of the shoe covers and cap amused me during the long wait

  • So, how many rode fixed this year?

  • non-comparatively I went from 2415th woman last year to 16091st person this year...

  • Just seen the official photos, gutted that the one they have of me crossing the line is not the one with my arms up but of what appears to be me wiping my nose.

  • Link...?

EDIT - No need. Found the photos.

So I have the time and the photos but I would be really interested in seeing the rankings. Anyone got a lead on that?

  • see post #1231 for linky

  • or indeed here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-eO5eRQn6kWZ24M1i9UIpjImFx2ZTOPBKXjYOiocOSA/edit#gid=508916983
    Thx to applespider
    2014 Ride London Spreadsheet rankings

  • Sweeeeet.
I was the 3062nd person over the line according to this sheet, which just about puts me in the top 15%.
    Very very happy with that.

  • They only have one shot of me. Guess the shutter speed couldn't stand up to my extreme pace.

  • 5093 this year, last year I finished about 10,000 so hopefully I'm getting faster, although I wonder how much impact the delays in Richmond Park had on times?

  • The official photos (marathon-photos) are wildly expensive, is there another similar service that is more reasonably priced? Seems an odd business model to price out regular cyclists...
