Have fond memories playing this round my older sisters when I was a kid.

One of the advantages of having little nephews is that all the old Lego is coming down from the attic again. Time to build something new. :)

Fuck, I remember seeing these around. Never got to have a go, but looks like they were shit anyway. Weird.

My wife asked me when I will stop spending time on here and grow up.
Grow up I said to her? Never.

I remember BeyBlade's appearing and it looked like loads of fun but I was too old to get away with it at the time. -

It does make you wonder whether the bricks are glued together on this one or not. It would be very easy to steal some if they weren't.

Jesus. I just had the noise of that thing ringing in my ears. Straight back to being 10 years old at my Granny's house. Cheers buddy.

As much as I would love to, I don't think mrs_com would be too happy since I've just had a go at her for hoarding. Also, I imagine there was a reason that my parents insisted it was kept at Granny's.

...Great excuse to see more of grandma!

A word of warning about space hoppers. I remember playing fondly on these as a kid but on Friday we were having races on them.
It's Tuesday and I'm still hobbled. My thighs still ache like I've just ridden up a few Alps.

My parents still have this. Accelerate the poorly molded metal disc with its sharp edges, to 10 billion rpm, such that the friction warms it to the temperature of the sun, release it onto the board, and pray for the survival of your fingers.
Great fun.

This was one of my absolute favourites when I was growing up. These were cut-out-and-assemble, and later press-out-and-assemble sheets in a weekly comic book ("Micky Maus", the German version of 'Mickey Mouse'). They were often fiendishly difficult for children to put together, but an amazing challenge, and many of the results were beautiful and great fun to play with. Many of the games (boardgames, mini boardgames, card games) were excellent.
The collection here is far from complete yet, but if you were growing up in Germany in the 1970s, these should bring back a lot of memories:

With a suitable printer, you can still print these out on light cardboard and attempt them.
