It's the online comment section, not the news section. So complaining that it isn't news rather misses the point. It's an area of the website specifically dedicated to the airing of opinions by people who aren't professional journalists. Amazingly, sometimes their opinions may seem different from yours. Woop. Only not.

I'm surprised to read that on LFGSS.

No one complained about it not being news? It's a rubbish piece of boring commentary, that was my point.

Haven't been that impressed with Steve's work lately, but this one is sweet.

This one is way old, but probably one of my favourite tattoos of all time. I have no Japanese work, but this is just absolutely stunning. Also by Shige.

That is wicked, but it seems weird to have it pointing backwards.

Looks like it's pointing forwards to me?

Mine too.
: ]Heavy Shige work (as usual), and that Danielle Rose piece is also very nice!

How the hell do you actually book with Shige? I realise his waiting list is no doubt unspeakably long but how do you even get on it? Ive tried emailing the shop several times (even in Japanese) but never get a reply. Do I need to hire a Japanese translator and ring them? Distract him at the london convention and bundle him into the back of a van? Sacrifice my first born?
Help me out here -

No clue, mate. Chat to him at the convention, I guess. Speaking of the convention, the lineup of artists this year is insane.

attention inked!
how much should i expect to pay for a large black-white piece across approximately half the length of the outside of my thigh? guest artist who looks to be quite well thought of and has just started to get featured in/on magazines/websites. -
• #9214
Depends who, what studio, complexity of the piece and how long that all means it will take. But at a very rough guess I would say £300 - £400

xIf you go on the basis that most good artists in london charge £100 an hour and upwards then £400 is about right depending on how long it takes. The shop/artist should give you a quote before you put down a deposit and agree to anything though.

Apologies if this has been asked a million times, but can anyone recommend a good artist in/around London for an entirely text-based tattoo?
I'm not into all the gothic/calligraphy/script styles, but not sure exactly what style I DO want, so would like to speak to someone who has a good bit of experience and will have a decent portfolio from which I can glean inspiration. -
• #9222
Most tattooers worth their salt will do decent script. Look up Into You, Frith St, Circle tattoo, Sang Bleu, AKA, Family Business etc and check out the portfolios

Cheers, will do.

Stefano at Frith St does very nice script.

Anyone know of any decent tattoo places in buenos aires? Got a client who wants to get tattoo of his unborn baby's name, and is trying to rope the rest of the crew into getting one too.
Any recommendations appreciated..
I'm not.
