Time to grow a beard then guys.

I have a castelli jersey that is borderline painful when standing around, but perfect when on the bike. Much aero, so strava.

Try a Castelli Body Paint skinsuit - it's excruciating when you're standing up. It even comes with a warning label on it pointing out that if it isn't uncomfortable when you're not in a riding position then it's too big.

ha, good to know its not just me then.

Surely you need the cut to be most comfortable in sipping expresso position, if you're buying Rapha.

Could I get away with a small?
Excuse the pose.

@dan That's the first thing you see that's wrong? Jesus wept.

Ha! there are religious reasons for that, but i find it also helps with support for my knee.

lol what else is wrong?

Tyres pressure is way too high.
-
• #17291
Ive tried lower pressures and wider tyres and ive found i prefer this set up; 23mm with 90-100psi. i know ride may be a little harsher but nothing uncomfortable

its cool. i can take a little constructive criticism as long as its not personal insults. i know im not the best cyclist nor do i try to be and i doubt ill be featuring in rapha's lookbook anytime soon!
its a cycling forum, what else would i be wearing?

Well.. you do have a beard.

Thats pretty much exactly how a XL fits me. Not tight across the waist at all. So the jersey flaps. Or hangs weird if I over load the pocket on one side.
Never thought much about it before I started riding further and carrying more.
Heres a pic of me in some lycra bibs as a reference...

Similar sizing issues here. Find a medium classic jersey ideal round the arms but flappy on the waist. Gonna try an S next time despite being 73kg.

I took a selfie pre endurance ride in my XL PT jersey. Pockets absolutly crammed. Looks like I'm wearing a cocktail dress.

Could I use their downsize offer to get my jerseys switched for a Small size?
-
• #17298
Yes if you're you the original purchaser?
-
• #17299
I am on a few of the jerseys, the others of ebay?

According to the website the answer is yes, provided that:
- You bought the jersey from Rapha
- You bought it within the last year
- You've lost weight through riding
Not sure how they check the last one.
- You bought the jersey from Rapha
Top end jerseys are well stretchy. Its all about getting the smallest size that is still comfortable around the shoulder/under arm area. No?
