  • I run Durano and Durano Plus on a couple of bikes. Crazy durable but the Durano Plus in particular do nothing to soak up potholes. Even running them very low pressure they're better but not great and by that stage quite squirmy as well. Plus, heavy. But obviously more rubber = more durable = heavier.

    Vittoria Open Pave 27mm, Challenge Strada Bianca 30mm, and lastly, the good old Conti GP4000s in 28mm.

    Those are the tyres I'd go for if I want a different option beside the Grand Bois Cerf 29mm.
