Anyone got any tips for a great ratatouille? It's my packed lunch of choice at the moment (usually with mackerel and cous cous)

To reiterate a post that got lost in transition
Something that comes with a thermomix is a demo session where they come to your house and show some of its possible uses. 16th of August this is happening at my place, if you are interested in coming along drop me a message.

Ate a remarkable pork belly, cucumber and coriander sandwich in Singapore China town last week.

Currently making focaccia, I lack patience waiting for dough to prove. It has nearly tripled in size in 45 mins, recipe said wait for it to double and it should take 1-4 hours. Am assuming warm weather is helping it go so quickly.

Went to Casa Morita for Mexican food in Brixton last night. It was rather crap, would not recommend.
I ordered vegetarian enchiladas, it came to my table lukewarm within 3 minutes of ordering which wasn't a good sign. the tacos were flaccid, the filling sparse with a dry smear of refried beans on the side, the whole plate was swimming in insipid tomatillo sauce. It was not spicy at all and lacked any real flavour of anything and they charged me nearly 9 quid for the 'privilege' .

I get that it is supposed to be authentic Mexican rather than the normal Tex-mex we get over here but it was just a bit shit.

I ate at the top-secret-Jamaican-takeout-the-nice-lady-runs-out-of-her-kitchen-on-Railton-Road yesterday... The most delicious, unctuous pepper steak I've ever eaten... I'm fighting the urge to go back for more today... I had the Paul Smortion, it was huge... £4... Four... Fucking... Quid... #takeallmyfuckingmoney
I know @citron was there the night before and didn't have as much luck, I'm guessing that's cuz it was the end of the day... Mrs >>>>>> went by last night with her girlfriends and they'd already run out of food by 6pm...

The Swedish friend of my flatmate made a big Fläskpannkaka with mushrooms and bacon last night and I love her for it. It was the best thing ever when I came home drunk late at night and there were still leftovers. I want more.

nanban... not great i'm afraid. ramen broth clearly hadn't been skimmed enough and had formed an oily, scummy film that sat on the top of the bowl after we watched it sit on the pass for a good five minutes. Mrs hell's chicken ramen tasted strangely of packet noodles and tomato cup-a-soup and lacked... chicken.
maybe we caught em on an off day.
