I do, but the scaled font in chrome looks crap.

• #328
I see more or less the same number of posts and info in both :-p
True I'd like the width of the messages to use much more of the space on the right (which is empty and useable) rather than be 'almost' fixed. Can we do that?

Gmail works like that and I don't see why we shouldn't be replying?
Gmail works how? It quotes the whole message.
This doesn't quote anything in FF.In Gmail you can select a text in a mail, hit Reply and it'll quote the selected text.

Yeah, that's what I want to happen here, in Firefox.
-
• #331
Highlight the text when you click "Reply" and it will quote.
Voila.Works well.
-
• #332
Although it doesn't on mobile (iPhone), as to be expected. So you have to copy and paste, which is a little bit of a faff, but not a dealbreaker. But it's not obvious.
-
• #333
It also doesn't work on Firefox Desktop or Firefox Android or variants of Firefox (Pale Moon). Proper browsers.

any chance of putting a following and or new posts link at the bottom of a page? annoying having to scroll back up to the top to navigate around. know the shortcuts but was a nice to have...especially on mobile

Agree

proper forum software on the left, visual impairment mode
on the right. It's just what you're used to. Line length on the left is approximately twice as long (over twenty words) as it should be for optimum readability.

a lot of I don't like change going on in here, plus notes on what people don't like, and @sohi that vbulletin page looks gash.
Think people need to realise this isn't the finished article, much like when we moved from vanilla to vbulletin, it wasn't the finished article, it took lots of wrangling, and coding, and reworking from @Velocio to make it work.
As long as you can post, read, and communicate with other forum members, then all the other bells and whistles will be along in a little while...Take a breath, chill, and have a little faith

Also the Favicon is the Microcosm M. Although I realise this isn't that important right now.

Plus one corny. The old forum software was dying and pushed beyond its limit.
This version has the ability to grow and alter in an unprecedented way, at least for lfgss. -

all the other bells and whistles will be along in a little while...
The devs need to know which bells and whistles are wanted in order to do that, and they need to be able to gauge how much each bell / whistle is wanted to determine which ones to add. If improvements are going to be made, the way to get them isn't for everybody to sit quietly and wait for the devs to figure out what they might be on their own without any input from users, innit. That's how software works.

FWIW I wish people would use github issues for microcosm more for this kind of thing as it's difficult to collate feature requests and bug reports when they're scattered all over the forum :/
Github is maybe too difficult for some users to figure out. Maybe there's an alternative that people can use to add their +1 votes for specific features to?

why not just create quote and multi quote button? would be zillion times beterrer.

Because replies are better they tell the person you're replying to their post

@bothwell - We should have specific sessions set up, so that we can help the devs create code on a nimble, active and quick basis.
We could call these groups "huddles", which would mean everyone stands up in them too
There could be a huddle boss, maybe?
Ooh - how about a board that has post-it notes on to show what stage each feature is in, and a graph showing progress?
This is an awesome idea of yours! We should call it Bothwell's Nimble Job Getting Done Method (BoNJoGeDoM for short).

Watch out, I nearly called them cuddles.

Ok, you're hired as the Huddle Boss. First daily stand around is tomorrow morning at 9am.

See i missed that because you didn't use a reply
You're using Chrome: Ctrl+scroll.
I never had the old forum on 100%.
New template works better on mobile.
