Well, Dimatrol or alike is a very good idea, but regarding your headset I do have one or two questions: Your fork is not matching the buildyear of your frame, has it got "coins" in the crown and if so, which colour?
If I'm right, your fork is not the original one, so the measurement of the steerer lenght might not fetch to the originaly used Campagnolo Record Headset. Maybe a Super Record would fit because that builds up slightly higher than Record or a Record Pista headset which is slightly smaller! First of all please find out, which headset would pass, because just buying for the test is quite expensive. Like rebuilding an old italian roadbike allways is...
