Ah... I see what you mean.
If you're replying to someone, it closes the reply box.
If you're not replying to someone... it does nothing.
And there are cancel buttons on every form, even though they are all useless to varying degrees. Little more than
javascript.history - 1. But all of the UX testing said people really feel ill-at-ease if they are doing something in a form, decide not to... and have no big and obvious way out.
