I have a bunch of nice stuff for sale here if anyone local is interested:

Price drop on the Apollo folder, now £25. The Winster's still available, free.
Winster F&F, 58cm seat tube ctc, headset's all there in bag + a stem. Paint is shit and plenty of surface rust but nothing structural it seems. BB bearings could do with grease. But very long horizontal dropouts and general undesirability would make a great pub bike. Now free.
Apollo folding bike, not much to say. It's basic, it goes, it all works, brakes aren't magnificent but they stop you. Single speed. £35.

Finally managed to find a beater to replace the 2nd bike my gf has had stolen in 3 months. On the look out for some cheap as possible bits if anyone has anything lying around?
700c single speed rear wheel (+any tyre?)
Bar tape of any description
Brake hoods (ideally for suicide levers but could fashion a hole if necessary)Cheers!

[QUOTE]...700c single speed rear wheel (+any tyre?)
Bar tape of any description/QUOTE]I have a black 700c SS wheel and some used white Cinelli Gel Cork bar tape you can have for free.
Bought/salvaged wheel from the Popup honesty box, for a my beater, but never used it. Nasty single wall rim, nasty alloy spokes and a freewheel that previous owner has put on backwards (tool slots next to flange) so v. difficult to remove, but it spins, it coasts, and it's true enough. Bar tape was used, got a bit dirty, so I replaced, but machine washed it (!) for... A moment like this!
PM me if you're interested; I'm around most of the weekend to meet/deliver. -

Ooh, and there's a tyre you can have for free too, but it's white (ha!), and I don't have any tubes to give away.
-
• #5932
How does the freewheel coast if it's on the wrong way?!
-
• #5933
That's a very good point... I'll go outside to check in the morning!

How does the freewheel coast if it's on the wrong way?!
It'll coast fine if you're LHD, but will unwind when you pedal hard
-
• #5936
False alarm; wheel is true/fine/coasts in correct direction. Circle of metal containing the four freehub tool 'pin' recesses must have been broken off by whoever donated it to Popup, so believe it's galvanically welded to the hub (zero copper grease, tut tut!) but will be fine. Just won't be able to remove freewheel without destroying it, at great physical and mental cost. PM rec'd/replied.

I've been happily imagining someone trying to ride a bike with a reversed freewheel all morning now

You mean riding backwards?

Selling a Campag Record Pista crankset with BB. Scrape on the LH crank, some foot rub on the right hand. Still shiny shiny shiny. 50t and 170. With original bolts and covers (one somewhat rounded), and can supply Allen key bolts too. Barely used - just for a few club10s - since buying off here. Decided to significant down gear and not TT fixed now I'm focusing on Audax. Asking £120, paid £125 originally.
