  • Everyone. Everyone's a twat. Twats everywhere.

    Citation?

    This whole thread!

  • who else is a twat, other than the RLJing knobwits and those that cheer them on?

Clearly you have missed my point. The tool who called me out was swinging all other the road cycling like an aggressive knob like he was. I harmlessly jump a red with no pedestrians on it and he calls me out.

  • LOL no you are not. You have expressed more than anyone how you don't give a fuck what other people do as long as it doesn't endanger you. So either you are lying or being a hypocrite

hmmm quite. i can't help you with your unsophisticated views on the matter, however consider this: the second you decide to jump a light, you become an unknown, unpredictable quantity on the road. People that were otherwise keeping an eye out for legitimate hazards now have their attentions monopolised by your unlawful fuckwittery. In doing so, you have now also transferred responsibility for your safety onto those around you, in short - you're a fucking liability. Ride properly or take a fucking bus mate.

    cheers.

  • Jumping red lights >>>>>>>>

  • greenhell, you've changed.

  • howso? My views on CR and the opinion expressed above can quite happily co-exist - they aren't mutually exclusive.

  • LOL change to suit the protagonist. Again I shall ride how I like. Twenty years riding in London with almost zero accidents. I don't need to be told how to ride by anyone

  • " I do what I fucking like mate. Are you the Police? No well piss off then"

this is almost word for word what a motorist said to me after nearly taking me out with his dangerous driving.

  • plot twist: off-duty police officer.

  • Glad to be of service. Let's spend all our time abusing everyone over the slightest misdemeanor

  • plot twist: off-duty police officer.

I was thinking how much fun that would have been after the incident. I don't think he was though

  • So much anger... must be Monday morning on the friendly forum.

  • Twenty years riding in London with almost zero accidents.

    So one accident?

  • Jumping reds on pedestrian crossings because you can see it's clear and safe is certainly the least bad type of RLJ, but " I do what I fucking like mate. Are you the Police? No well piss off then" is the attitude of a proper weapon.
Particularly when you're just doing it to rile someone up.

  • So one accident?

    Definitely one:

  • "I do what I fucking like mate. Are you the Police? No well piss off then"

Unbelievable how arrogant some people are
    Yes. Yes it is.

Arrogant, and yet somehow so completely fucking clueless.

  • Everyone. Everyone's a twat. Twats everywhere.
    This.

    We should all do penance.

  • I am most definitely a twat.

  • No you're a twa- oh hang on, we've already done this bit

  • I'm a twat and so's my wife!

  • careful - collective responsibility, like poor grammar, is a slippery slope.

I can't argue with that, but acknowledging it exists isn't condoning it. Think of collective responsibility like the population of South London- it's wrong and illogical and makes me feel sick but you can't deny it exists. So crappy or illegal behaviour by cyclists who have nothing to do with me could impact me. Now I'm using a noun as a verb transitive. Sheesh.

  • So one accident?

A few nothing serious. Mostly due to mechanical failure and frogger pedestrians

  • Seriously though. Does no one see the funny side of this? Am I the only person here who finds it funny winding up sensitive people?
I would have stopped if he hadn't of been abusing the other cyclist as I do tend to stop at reds as a rule.
Perhaps there is something wrong with me after all

  • Jumping reds on pedestrian crossings because you can see it's clear and safe is certainly the least bad type of RLJ, but " I** do what I fucking like mate. Are you the Police? No well piss off then**" is the attitude of a proper weapon.
Particularly when you're just doing it to rile someone up.

OK so. What gives him the ride to have a go at me?
    Is he
    a. My wife?
    b. A member of my family?
    c. A friend?
    d. My boss?
    e. The police?

I know he is not a or b and I don't think he is c and I know he's not my boss so I was asking him the question. What right does he have to tell me what to do if I am not interfering with him as an individual and am not part of some collective group that I chose not to represent?
