  • Got a On One track chainset for sale, complete with BB (but can use Shimano external BB fine). 165cm cranks, 144bcd, in pretty good nick. SHINEH. Left hand bearing on BB a bit gritty but that's about it.
    This one.
How about £45? For £50 will include black token 48t chain ring.

Also have a stock Bianchi Pista fork for sale, 1 inch threadless with 215mm of steerer (don't think I cut it). All straight and true, but with a few scratches on it. No idea of the market value of this, £20?

£60, again all it needs is some TLC, new rear tyre tube, and a brake.

(Seatpost is stuck but I didn't try much to shift it as it worked for me and probably anyone between 5'8"-5'10")

  • £60 you say? PM on way.

Includes rim-tape, 16 tooth fixed cog and lockring and 16 tooth freewheel. Straight and true. About as generic as you can get. How does £35 sound? • Copied from Classifieds...

    NJS drive-train (Dura Ace, Sugino...)

'Upgrading' from an NJS drivetrain to, well, another NJS drivetrain (Dura Ace - Sugino), so looking to move on my posh-pub/branded-beater grade drivetrain.

Offered is a Dura Ace FC-7600 chainset (165mm) with unknown (46T) chainring and a Sugino 75 BB. I reckon £110 for the pair is a fair price, let me know if you disagree... Ideally looking to sell together, but happy to split if I have a buyer for both parts, in which case, make me an offer!

Plenty of rub on the cranks, which has taken off the logo (worry-not, priceless NJS stamp on the inside is unharmed) and the threads are totally fine. HOWEVER, a long brakeless ride without tools (!) saw a creak turn into some dents on the tapers, so be aware that these do creak. That said, I popped a little Loctite on the BB spindle, put them back on tight and left them for a few hours and that sorts the creaking for ages, when it returns, a re-application sorts the problem again. So, as I say, I'd grade these at 'posh-pub'/'branded beater' grade - perform fine (even without the Loctite, if you don't mind creaking) but look a little worn.

Second up is a Sugino 75 BB. This is totally fine and has nothing of interest to report - you all know how good these bad boys are.

I'll sort some pics ASAP as all parts are still on the bike. Can meet in town during the day, or collection from Impington in the evening is also possible...

  • Finally sorted some pics - Sorry for the delay, just got the new cranks through so took these off the bike.

Excuse the grubbiness - my hands were covered in grease, they actually clean up well and would buff up a treat with a little extra attention...

As I say, after £60 for these...

Please note BB is no longer for sellz!

  • Anyone have a rear mtb v brake they want to part with? A right brake lever is also needed. condition not important so long as they work.

    Cheers.

  • Finally had a chance to clean those Dura Ace cranks so you can properly see the condition.

    Moar pics...

£60 for some NJS cranks can't be a bad deal, eh?

Also got some MKS Royal Nuevo NJS pedals that I'll grab some pictures of the pedals this weekend too. £60 for those or the pair for £110.

I may even have a cheapo chainring I can throw in, but I can't promise it...

  • IS there anyone to sell very cheap low risers?

  • Flat bars would do fine as well

  • Afternoon all localists

Despite being a relative novice to this field I've in my possession a 50+ year old Claud Butler/Holdsworth restoration job that I've promised someone I would sell for them.
That someone walked into Ben Haywards bike shop on Kings Parade in 1962 or 1963 (they can't remember which) with a piece of cardboard painted dark grey. Their selected road bike model was then built by hand of 531 tubing and painted to specification. The next 48 years was spent commuting between a village south of Cambridge and the University in the pursuit of SCIENCE rather than racing glory. That very same, septegenarian owner now wants someone who'll enjoy it to have it, and put the proceeds towards a bike he won't fall off so often.

As you'll see from the photos linked below, and the one hopefully uploaded, the paintwork was left to become the thing of aged beauty that it is, however other parts were added and replaced.

I've tried to place the exact model type but as it dates from a complicated time ownership-wise and the catalogues aren't clear, I haven't nailed it down. The Olympic badge is obvious but the bi-lam lugs appear to be of the Cavaliar/Aspirant type, so not an Olympic Sprint:

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/CBcats/Cat_56/YellowCat/FrameFeatures.jpg

The bottom bracket has a '23432' stamped on it but I can't see that this corresponds to the date of manufacture.

Anyway, the seat tube measures 20", the diagonal 23" and the horizontal 21", so it's on the small side (one reason I'm not restoring it). However it is currently highly rideable, if a little dirty with a slight question mark at the cranks, is centrally located and available for viewing.

Given the local provenance and the patina I'm asking £210 but am open to offers.

I'll put this on the main classifieds page in a day or two but I wanted Cambridge folk to have a chance see it first, so over to you.
