built up the wheels in arup's space. unfortunately the rims are not manufactured to the highest standards and getting tyres on/ off is a nightmare. couldn't fit a wired bead gatorskin on the rear. snapped four tyre levers so am leaving it for now; with phil 20t cog:

thing i'm most pleased with are the stronglight 107 track cranks just arrived from hilary stone. paired with a semi-matching stronglight 107 1/8 53t chainring off ebay and some steel stronglight bolts:

picked up a Kalloy aero post from Big H but unfortunately too short and as such is for sale. would have looked nice:

    so that leaves

    • bottom bracket (asked a question here)
    • pedals (french thread required, planning clips and straps)
    • post (27.2 with 20cm free above insertion)
    • saddle (not too fussed as this will be a short ride bike)
    • stem (needs to be long as the TT is short for me at 56cm, instead of a 59cm. any suggestions for a 140 1" quill at 0deg? i.e. right angle)
    • bars and tape (will decide once stem clamp known)
    • lockring
    • tyre i can fit on rear wheel
