  • Grass-track crit racing, for those of us* who are Wendies about broken bones.

    *Such as me

  • Bad news for you; Bluerip told me he sees a lot of cross injuries.

  • If you race a bicycle of any sort you will fall off at some point. #fact

  • If you don't fall off racing cross, you're not trying hard enough.

  • Thats certainly true of MTBing. In fact i dont even need to try most of the time. But falling off in a busy crit on tarmac sounds rubbish.

  • My point was I'd rather fall off on grass/mud (or even Andy's bramble patch) than on tarmac at 30mph.

  • Something like a Felt75 would be a good alternative.

Bargains on these atm, thinking about getting one on ride 2 work. Anyone ridden one?

  • I've ridden a f75 with 105.

I was pretty impressed. You could stick Force on it (bb30) and have a pretty exciting bike. I didn't like the saddle or the look of felt branded finishing kit... but that's just subjective.

  • I was thinking about upgrading the crankset & wheels. Also considering the caad8 105 but I don't think I could live with the colour.

  • So what are the disc brake road bike options, now most 2015 bikes are out?

    giant Defy
    Cannondale Synapse
Caad10 - not worth time of day as ALU!

    ??

  • Tarmac and Roubaix if Specialized

  • Trek Domane Disc
    Raleigh Revenio*
    Genesis Equilibrium Disc (2015)*
    GT Grade

    *alu/steel

  • Tarmac and Roubaix if Specialized

    Don't forget the new Diverge;

  • Gosh that's ugly!

Equilibrium is basically the same as the CDF, but not as practical and nearly as heavy!

I want a lighter disc bike. The CDF is lovely, but so heavy that it's dull. The geo is great and it's a fast ride, but it's just too heavy to be 'fun'

  • Tarmac is lovely, but it should be for the cost!

Do any of them have mudguard tabs?

  • Pretty sure you know the answer to that by looking at the Dammitâ„¢'s clearance.

  • Silly huh!

    Needs mudguard tabs and clearance!

  • It's no use, you should go to Talbot and get a custom.

  • nice

  • That's the Diverge, look good on paper with slightly more tyres clearance than a Roubaix.

Meaning it definitely can fit mudguard and 28mm without a doubt.

  • Matt Black...

    Is it 2012 again?

  • Prototype testing.

Thanks ed. I'll keep an eye for release.

  • They just need some road wheels with white DT Swiss spokes...
