I like what they're trying but don't think it works.

That typeface is nice only large/close and the German flag as banding means yellow on white. They should just be black with a flag elsewhere. IMHO of course.

It's not that, it's the silly fake fork crown and the frankly odd font choice. And then it's all at odds with Campy's gash wheel graphics.

Cause Ridley themselves said they kept a classic style with their bikes.

Bar angle on the cannondale looks all wrong.

Oh hell yes.

On first look it stroke me as a bit weird (the shape of the frame),
but very quickly I began to like it a lot, and especially how tidy / minimalist / "right" the whole bike looks.

I don't think Ridley are copying anyone with this. Same projection of old on new was done by Flandria too.
