When I try to do the same at a sensible time, like 5pm, all I get is rejection.

I am definitely her pet, that's what humans are for.

What's the return policy and period for cats from Battesea? :-P

ours are good in the morning but they seem to take us getting in to bed in the evening as a sign that they should start chasing each other around the house and beating the crap out of each other.
