Don't engage. He's shown himself many times to fail to enter discussions in a meaningful way, instead he imports irrelevancies to make his argument look weighty, but ultimately these points say nothing which support or strengthen whatever statement it is he is making.
I'm familiar with the technique. This is how I wrote essays most of the way through my undergrad.
