  • I've got an answer from Robert just now (sent the mail this morning).
Gonna throw some money at Poland soon then.

  • And got an answer again. I'ts gonna take 9 weeks for my frame. Seems he has a lot of business, or a lot of holidays...

  • 948mm wheelbase.

    How bad is it now?

  • looking to do a 650b commuter, played around with bike cad.
    does this seem retarded?

Finally heard back from Robert? Does this seem like weird geometry? Looking for a compact bike so going a size down from my normal ride

  • well, 76 to 73.5 ist pretty weird.

  • Mash. Size M. 76/73.5

  • yeahr, and if you ever rode a mash daily routine, than you know.....
it's that hipster lo rpo thing. i thought it's gone now.

  • 948mm wheelbase.

    Can't see a thing.

  • I uploaded the pic to lfgss dunno why you can't see it.

Seat Tube, centre to centre: 471
Seat Tube, centre to top: 520
    Actual Top Tube: 550
    Head Tube: 140
    Seat Tube Angle: 75º
    Head Tube Angle: 75.5º
    Chainstay Length: 389
    Bottom Bracket Drop: 50
    Wheelbase: 948
    Weight (aprox): 1700

  • The pic isn't showing which is the reason that Murphys Law said he can't see anything. Maybe you have to grant public access to your pics.

  • Yeah, sorry wasn't really specific there.

Still: 75.5° Head Tube Angle? I get it you want to compensate for the 45mm rake, but that still sounds a bit harsh. Also you'll have to expect toe overlap then...

  • I'm using/will use planet-x fork, which is 25mm rake.
With 75º the trail is 64. Which imo is too much, compared to the 48mm I have now.

    Also:
I've toe overlap with 74.5º, 43mm rake. Track.
I've toe overlap with 73.5º 45mm rake. Commuter.
I've toe overlap with 72.8º 49mm rake. Road bike.

  • Ah got that wrong. more rake = less trail.
The problem is, that you want to use a track fork which is designed for track trail for road riding.
As for toe overlap: well, okay then.

    Assuming 25mm tyres...
    Track: 74.5º, 43mm rake, 22mm tyre = 49mm trail
    Commuter: 73.5º 45mm rake, 28mm tyre = 55mm trail
    Road: 72.8º 49mm rake. 25mm tyre = 54mm trail

    Mielec plan: 75º, 25mm rake, 22mm tyre = 64mm trail

If you chose an option with 37mm rake, you'd get 52mm trail, which would be pretty good.

  • Yep. 35mm rake would be good but... I already bought the planetx one. And as far as I know (internet) 58rake is what you should aim for. So I'd need a 28mm rake.

I'm going to use 20c tyres. And the headtube will probably be 75.5º

  • 20mm for track or road?

    if latter, do not use.

  • Track

  • Tomaspuika Mielec with my finishing kit as he lended it to me as a good friend

I know it's not relevant to the thread, but does anyone know what hubs/wheel set those are? Thanks.

  • Look like they could be Gran Compe hubs on ZippHedEnveMavic rims.

  • Rims are HJC DA-17, don't know a place where you can get them on the interwebz tho

  • well dove in and am starting the order process for a 650b 1x8 city cross thing from robert, fingers crossed haha

  • Hey, has anybody ever seen internal cable routing in a mielec frame? He says he can do it easily with oval holes but can`t provide any picture of how its done in detail. Thanks

  • are any of these fake forks?

if so where and how much did you buy them for? How was the shipping like time, cost etc.?

Anyone know where to get copy 3t fundas now? Pm me.

  • China

  • Ali express.
