  • Called them on saturday morning. Apparently they will send it today via courier company. Should receive it tomorrow.

    Will see...

  • Came across HJ years ago (must have been around 2006 if memory serves), but only now was in the market for some of their goodies. Decided against a purchase after two unanswered emails, 3 phone calls, all that I have read of bad experiences here, and a price hike of somewhere between 20-25% (whilst I've been waiting for a response, indicating to me that someone at HJ is at work, but not responding to emails). It's not been long that I've been waiting (first email sent Friday afternoon, and it is now close of business on Wednesday) but long enough, even for a 'we're super swamped at the mo, we'll get back to you' email, plus the last thing I want is stress from ordering items that are supposed to bring me joy (in the form of time on my bike - I don't mean the act of purchasing!) - if they can't reply to emails or answer the phone, why would I put an order through? Anyway, I decided to purchase elsewhere. It's a shame, as I always try and give my business to the littler folks.

    Just putting this out there for anyone that cares, potential customers or owners of HJ.

  • My order (hubs and rims) arrived after 8 days.
    Packaging was really good, prices awesome and received multitool (Crankbrother) for free (rrp is £17.00)...

    But it's true that customer service is not really good. Sending an email is waste of time. My phone call was answered when I called first, but when called 2 days later no response.

    Think it's safe to order from them, but if you are impatience or in hurry receiving goodies, would probably choose different shop...

    But will probably order again...

    It's a shame they're still struggling.

  • I emailed them asking about a sale they had on about a week ago (whole website was marked down 20%). Yesterday I had an email from Drew explaining that the sale was a mistake but he would still honour the prices for me as I was abroad when the sale was on.

    Absolute result. Don't be too quick to write them off, they clearly still care about customer service.

  • Have had only one experience with HJ but it was positive.
    Made an order for a small group and wanted two black DSP tapes as a part of it. Got quickly an email where I was told that they only had one so chose a white one as the second.

    No hassle and as I recall items were received quite quickly here in Finland.

  • I only used them once years ago, but had good service and great products from them.

  • Phone doesnt always work, I've called 3 times today, twice it just rang and didnt go to vm and the third it just said caller busy. Getting a bit annoyed now

  • Its just one guy running the whole thing at the moment, I know its frustrating but Im sure hes doing his best. Given how lovely and exceedingly helpful hubjub has been in the past Im more than willing to forgive them for a bit of inconvenience while they sort things out.

  • Yeah, patience is required. But always phone. Drew is very helpful - they will sort it out, whatever the issue.

    This. I'm going to stick with it because Drew's giving me great prices on some bits when he has no obligation to, but I would like to have the bits within the next two weeks.
    He even said he'd send me an invoice 'within the next 5-10 minutes'. And that was yesterday at around 3 :/

  • I ordered a Nitto S83 on Sunday - which was the cheapest I could find anywhere - and it arrived on Tuesday. Great service.

    That said, the site said it was 250mm and I received a 300mm. Emailed yesterday but still no response...will probably call tomorrow as it's not a major problem.

  • Drew pulled one out the bag. The bits he was giving me prices for are now paid for and will be dispatched tomorrow. Could not be happier with Hubjub atm, will definitely use again.

  • yeah ive had perfectly positive experiences with hubjub both times ive ordered from them

  • ditto the above, they once ordered a23's in for me, sent them to me, and i hadn't paid a penny, only when they were with me did they realise and asked for the money, top guy(s) that are just having a hard time atm

  • Hubs and a few other bits ordered Thursday morning, arrived today (Friday).

    Truly excellent service from Drew and great on the phone the 2 times I called.

    Will definitely use again!

  • First time I ordered from them, placed recently, received exactly 7 days after (I live in France). Won't hesitate to order from them again.
