New frameset fever

Posted on
  • Hi Guys! After many years of specialized fixed frames, it is time to move on to a new frame. I have some nice parts on my current bike to transfer to the new one: Zipp 170 grams carbon barss, Ritchey carbon stem, handmade (by myself) wheels, specialized toupe carbon saddle, etc.

I have two requirements: 1. lightweight, 2. Front brake

Shall I go for the Dolan FXE aluminium frameset, which can also take mudguards and will be nice especially in winter days?

On the other hand, shall I go for the Pro-Lite carbon track frame that makes me feel like “Saturday night fever” every day?

    Any other ideas, please help!

  • those frames are incomparable.

    alu - carbon
    "road" - "track
    classic tubes - funky tubes

are you going to ride it on the road? then the fxe is the best and sensible choice

  • I know they are not comparable. I am going to ride it on the road 42k every day. Tre Pro-lite frame I found comes without fork so I will add a road aero fork drilled for brake. I would cut the fork a bit longer for a more upright position. I really want something with an extra Oomph factor for my daily ride!

  • Shouldn't this thread be in current project?
