This sounds very plausible. Thieves are known to work in gangs, happens a lot (or at least, used to) in De Beauvoir, Hoxton. Sounds like you called it right.
That Quintana Roo was (possibly) nicked ages ago I think. Saw it leant outside a barbers in Atlantic road and mentioned it on here a couple of years ago.
Could well be a bunch of bike thieves. Saw a few operating around there when I lived in Tulse hill, including a 13 year old riding a high spec colnago in his high-tops despite the fact it had lush Keo's on it and was far too huge for him

Im not sure whether it was loaded into a van or some kids just carried it away.Any sightings - Do let me know!!!! thx

Cables do nothing. What type of D-lock?
I wouldn't be locking that on the street at all in London's famous London.
This, I'd rather take the bus/tube if I have to leave mine locked outside, I really hope you'll find it intact!!

If anyone has had a yellow and white ladies vintage bicycle stolen from Kingsland Road at 18:50 Monday 28th July, I have a picture of the guy cycling away with it.

Just had my bike stolen on the 23:43 train between Slough and Ealing Broadway
Has black deep V's now. Not likely a bike you'd ever find in the UK eitherBrazen buggers, I'll give them that. I had my head down working on my laptop and it was just behind me in the vestibule.

That sucks. I've always been a bit worried about this and end up standing up next to my bike any time it's on a train.

It's a very uncommon kind of theft, to be sure. Sorry about your loss.

would it be a good idea to get the CCTV in case you find it? trains and stations will have loads of footage

Got in contact with the transport police immediately thanks to helpful platform staff. They've already requested the footage from the train. Not holding out too much hope, it'll likely still be long gone

Front half of my bike stolen last night on Shoreditch High Street. A Schmidt SONdynohub wheel disc hub fitted to a Ritchey rim, a set of boardman carbon forks, SRAM Apex shifters, and a scmidt Edelux light (black). Unfortuntately I am away this weekend so can't scour Brick Lane but if anyone sees any of this out-of the ordinary kit I would be grateful for the heads up.

My friend's bike was stolen last weekend. Any info would be much appreciated; she's devastated about it. If you get your hands on it, you will undoubtedly get a cash reward.
It's a vintage men's touring frame (I can't remember the size I'm afraid but big, maybe 56cm). It's a dark red Roberts Columbus, quite scratched up but quite lightweight. Stickers and decals almost unrecognisable. Tires are Continental Gatorskins, the back one is brand new both with XL black Racerblade mudguards.
It had black rather than white bartape.
It was taken overnight on August 2-3rd from St Matthews Row, E2 (right by Brick lane) -

anyone having their bike stolen in london east to central should check sclater street / brick lane on sunday mornings
there are always stolen bikes changing hands
Probably not fresh news to anybody, but Cally Road N1 area stank of bike theft last night. There was a proper array of locks and mangled bike parts up the pavement all the way from Kings X to Holloway. Wotch yerselves!
