I'd forgotten about this - when we aborted the SDW the other weekend we were fairly near Chichester.
I put "Chicherter" into the Garmin auto-route function, it whirred away and came back with a route calculated.
We followed said route, until it became painfully clear that it was navigating us away from Chichester.
This is a good reason to have the 800 over the lesser models if you go to random places a bit.
You don't want it taking you to Bradford (up north) instead of Bradford upon Avon. Being able to quickly zoom out and get an idea of where it's navigating or even zooming out to see which direction you're going or if there's other towns you recognise is really useful.
