Thanks all, it really is a lovely ride. Rodolfo, I will most likely go to Hannover, but have yet to receive answers from other universities across the country. As for pictures, the frame is currently mediablasted, so this album of what I found on my computer will have to do for the moment, link below.
The repair in question was done by a
Jeweller friend. I wanted him to repair using brass brazing, but he
insisted on spot welding it. So he welded the compromised area and
filed it. It will need a little primer before painting to achieve
uniform smoothness but besides that the repair is rock solid.
