  • It is relevant, indeed, that's exactly my point. With that in mind, if it's more about the story than the ads (as you put it), simply remove them. That's what's breaking the rules.
    Apart from that and this silly pissing contest we're having here, there's nothing wrong with the thread.

  • post number 69 updated to be without external links, apologies for being neglectful of the bit of the rules that mentions no 'cross-posting',

  • as a happily signed-up forum member {aside from having to spend time on a lovely sunny day digging myself out of a hole via my keyboard and computer},

    about rules outside of this space,

    :-)

    (in this sense i respect the OPer for neglecting the rule, or more precisely what i imagine to be a social norm regarding this forum, to post-up accurate info!! - regarding frame size - yes its still a bugbear!! - please measure-up properly next time selling with a view to sending something overseas!!)

    {grrrrr!!}

    :-)

  • joaquinbadass, I've read the thread and find nowt wrong with Howard's behaviour or posts.

    The rules as I enforce them are that you cannot list for sale an item on here "at the same time" as listing it elsewhere. From what I see (and I'm the one enforcing things reported after looking at each incident) Howard listed hasn't listed on LFGSS at the same time as elsewhere, removing it from other places to list it here, and listing it elsewhere only after closing it here.

    I'll now return to looking at Italian skies and thinking of what to have for breakfast.

  • Velocio,
    Post 69 (and 9 on the other thread) had links to the eBay listing and Retrobike's ad. Meaning, that while he mentioned (on his other thread) that he wasn't selling it here, the post where he said so, contained links to the ads outside of LFGSS for the same bike he now "wasn't selling" through LFSS. They have since then been edited.

    (I'm glad you're on top of these things)

    yup, might have fallen foul of the 'no cross-posting' rule as did reference via hyperlinks external places of potential sale during any exclusive forum sale being 'paused', although would still have been open to offers from forum-mongers.. thankfully j-bad-ass speedily convinced me to see the light on this, leading to subsequent humble apologies,

    but anyway,

    the restoration of the bicycle as received via (and shown in) this thread is back on the forum for sale as shown in the updated OP of this thread

    so hopefully,

    :-)
