So was out yesterday and my 800's screen went blank about 40 miles before the end of a 200 mile ride.
I thought it had gone flat - I had been topping it up with a portable charger as I went along because the battery is a shadow of its former self - but after I noticed it had gone off I plugged in my portable charger and it kept freezing at 'loading maps'.
It's still doing this when I plug it into my computer or a proper charger.
I'd really like to not lose what it did record as I bothered riding 200 miles.
Halp?
Edit:
Just resurrected it by forcing USB mass storage mode (holding down lap/reset while plugging it into the USB cable).
The battery life is showing as 95% so it seems it wasn't the battery.
What might have happened though?
