Issue would be for those people with ether Campag or the more recent Shimano group sets that the supplied cassette is useless.
My cross bike is 10 speed, so it's work for that application, but the other bikes are 11. That said, the cross bike gets used the least of any bike (bar the race bike I suppose, due to the amount of racing I do!), so might be most suited to living on the turbo.
