  • I remember I had an Apollo Creed with a Megarange cassette.

  • much much potential.
post, saddle, levers, bar angle, outer cables, drivetrain, shifting away from porn.

    Nearly there then...

  • 'Long awaited' after shot for my Donohue MTB. With a new seatpost and new stem/bars combo, it fits better, but more importantly, it's rideable. The amount of seatpost showing suggests a larger frame size could work, but it's fine as it is. And riding over fields, laughing in the face of potholes, and climbing up sandy farm track hills which would be impossible otherwise is brilliant. I need to get the headset replaced and don't have the tools to do it here, but if I can't get that done tomorrow I'm just going to the forest.

  • That look real fun, better a frame a little on the small side than on the big.

  • I agree, and even though it looks odd it feels great.

Those carbon Monkey Lite bars are the best £9 I've ever spent.

  • nice build t !

  • Tommm I really think you need to consider what you're doing with the bike because it looks like you're heading for a train wreck at the minute....

    .

  • tommmmm normaly I don't like MTB but that's awesome !!!

  • Colnago c40 Lampre + Sram Force 22. What do You think? Should work for me. I'm starting new project. At this moment only frameset i have

  • ... And then you considered it, a bit... From what you were saying there's plenty more random spending / parts to come meaning it's far from finished.

Those forks are meant to be proper bad, just looking at it and realised my Fox forks would really suit this, they ride fantastic, and have easily adjustable travel.

  • Im thinking of swapping all the parts from my Pompino over to a Cross Check with 1x9. Just wondering if I could run my ss cranks and what kind of chainring I'd need to run?

    Thanks

  • My eyes hurt

  • Should work. You'd have to check out the chainline on the crank to make sure the single chainring aligns roughly with the middle of the casette.
You'd need a 9speed compatible chainring of course. Shimano has a range of quite cheap ones for 130mm BCD cranks.

  • planning on rebuilding wheels, wondering which rim would be the wisest choice.
def a black rim but unsure of the best rim from the 80's/90's.

full pic please. looks like it works tbh.

  • no man. looks good imo.

    which lo-pro?

  • I'll just put them on now n then for fun, the bulls hurt my wrist after a while

  • I swapped all the parts from my Singular Osprey onto a Genesis Equilibrium 20 frame. Project thread >>>

  • Cycliste and I built up her new TT bike today and yesterday:

Planet X Stealth frame (XS) and seat post
    Prolite carbon forks
    Vision 650c 30mm wheels
    Conti GP4000S II 650c tyres
    Really nasty Specialized Dulce saddle
    Rival BB and cranks
    PD540 pedals
    SRAM 1030 11-23 cassette
    3T ARX Pro stem
    Zipp Alumina base bar
    Zipp Alumina clips and extensions
    Tektro TL720 brake levers
'RC'-branded brake calipers off Cycliste's Bianchi road bike
    Dura Ace shifters
    Elderly Ultegra rear derailleur
    SRAM Force front derailleur
Dura Ace brake and gear cables

And I know the saddle angle is awful, but Cycliste claims it feels better like that. It is a truly horrible saddle though (it came off the second-hand Brompton I bought a few years ago) so I might treat her to an upgrade.

"If I ever see Yoda, I will kick him in the head"

    Inspiring stuff...
Maybe you should consider a career change.
