That field with the head/cross wind!
Like Neil, I had a thorough warm-up just getting to the start line, and then did my usual thing of setting off just that little bit over-ambitiously and going into a lactic burn, but then settling into some kind of rhythm (before almost losing the will to carry on in the final lap!).
Generally pleased with my first summer series race, and look forward to more. Can only improve.
Nice to meet a few of you there - although I wansn't at my best just after, so apologies for any lack of social graces.
